FAQ

DO YOU TAKE WALK-INS?

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, I Now Take Clients BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Out of respect for customers and for the safety of us all, please do not come to the shop without having a confirmed appointment.

DO YOU OFFER CONSULTATIONS?

Yes. Consultations are free and recommended.

You will meet with me on a set day and time for approximately 1/2 hour in order to review your vision as well as its location, sizing and details. If your tattoo appointment isn’t already booked, I will schedule you by the end of your consultation. I will also request you put down a deposit at this time in order to hold the spot.

HOW MUCH WILL MY TATTOO COST?

The cost of your tattoo will all depend on its size, location, amount of detail, and the time needed to complete it. Pricing starts at $100 (shop minimum) for smaller tattoos and goes up from there.

For larger projects, pricing is determined by the length of the session and whether or not the tattoo is black & grey or color.

I prefer to charge by piece but you may request my hourly rate of $100 for large scale sessions.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?

Please fill out my Request Form. I often reply within 2-5 business days through prefered method of contact and will ask if you would like an in-person consultation. If declined, I will do my best to give an estimated quote and ask for a deposit to secure an appointment.

I understand you want to get in as soon as possible, but please be as flexible as you can when booking your appointment.

DO YOU OFFER PIERCINGS?

Currently, I do not offer piercing services.

HOW ABOUT COVER-UPS?

Yes. If you have a piece that you are no longer a fan of, I would be happy to make it into something you’re thrilled about.

I HAVE BEEN FEELING A LITTLE UNDER THE WEATHER. CAN I STILL GET TATTOOED?

If you are sick, please stay home. My fellow artists and I value our health as well as the health of our families, so we do not want to be in close contact with anyone sick for hours at a time.

If you are unwell I will reschedule your appointment and give you priority in our schedule in order to get you in as soon as possible once you are feeling better. I reserve the right to cancel your appointment on the spot if you show up for your tattoo visibly unwell.

I’M FINE BUT I’M ON ANTIBIOTICS. SHOULD I STILL COME IN FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

The use of antibiotics shortly before getting your tattoo or during the healing stage will likely affect the integrity of the tattoo and is not recommended.

Consult with your physician but try and avoid taking antibiotics within 30 days before and 30 days after getting a new tattoo, if possible.

CAN I BRING A FRIEND/COUSIN/NEIGHBOR/ETC. WITH ME FOR MY TATTOO APPOINTMENT?

I ask that you limit your visitors to only 1 extra person with you in the studio at a time. Contact me directly to see if we can accommodate an exception for special circumstances.

HOW ABOUT KIDS?

I recommend no one under the age of 18 be allowed in the shop.

WHAT CAN  I BRING?

If you are a new client, please bring a government-issued photo ID (license, state ID, passport, etc.) with you to your first appointment.

Please bring any reference material with you. The day of your tattoo appointment, please bring anything requested of you at your consultation. Feel free to bring your headphones, a tablet,  book, magazine, bottle of water/any other non-alcoholic beverage with a lid, and light snacks if desired.

WHAT CAN I DO IN PREPARATION FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

Please do not drink alcohol or use any type of blood thinning OTC medication (such as Ibuprofen and Aspirin) within 24 hours of your appointment.

Please refrain from sun exposure/tanning beds the 2 weeks prior to (as well as the 2 weeks after) your appointment. Get a good rest the night before, eat a full meal, and drink lots of water before coming in. I also recommend that you wear loose, comfortable clothing that will limit obstruction to the area which we will be tattooing.

DOES IT HURT? DO YOU OFFER ANY NUMBING/ANESTHETIC?

Pain threshold varies by person. But typically yes, getting a tattoo does hurt. The pain is manageable but some areas are more sensitive than others. Applying a numbing product to these areas and allowing it to set prior to coming in for your appointment will help with the pain.

Zensa is available for purchase on amazon.

SHOULD MY SKIN BE PERFECTLY CLEAR?

General rule of thumb: the clearer, the better. Dry, chaffed, sunburned, irritated, and/or broken out skin will not tattoo well and will ultimately hinder the quality of your tattoo once healed. If you are suffering from any type of skin issue, I may ask you to choose another area to have  tattooed or reschedule your appointment.

DO YOU USE VEGAN-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS?

Yes! I only use Eternal Ink, Dynamic and Solid INK which is comprised of organic pigment and free of animal by-products. It’s also never tested on animals.

Additionally, I use 100% Vegan Hustle Butter Deluxe, which is an excellent skincare option for before, during, and after the tattoo process.
